'Just Say When'
This is truly the most challenging medium but also such a delight to work with ~ the more experienced I get with watercolour, the more I enjoy what the medium can do. I am learning to work with it and let it do its magic, rather than try to control it too much and it is pretty exciting. I mainly use Daniel Smith Paints and am currently enjoying the Daniel Smith pure pigments and irridescents. Look out for the 'Georgia Mansur New Palette' of my sixteen favourite Daniel Smith colours in the best art supply stores soon.
It is important to use the best materials with this medium, including the best quality paint, good paper and brushes. I use Saunders and Arches 300-600 gsm paper and Alvaro Castagnet, Robert Wade and Rafael Sable brushes.
